Design rule checking for hardware teams

CADY parses your netlist, resolves every net, and evaluates 870+ design rules against it. Connectivity gaps, power rail errors, BOM mismatches, footprint conflicts: flagged before the Gerbers leave your workstation. CADY flags violations; your engineer decides how to fix them.

How the rule engine works

Upload any netlist file and CADY resolves every net, builds the component connectivity graph, and evaluates each rule predicate in sequence. Violations are flagged with the exact net name, component reference, and rule ID that fired.

  • Net resolution across hierarchical schematics
  • Component reference cross-check against BOM
  • Parallel rule evaluation on large netlists
  • Violation report in PDF, JSON, or CSV

What CADY does not do: it does not modify your schematic, auto-route the board, or push changes back to your EDA tool. It reads, evaluates, and reports. The design decisions stay with your team.

Rule Library

870+ built-in rules, organized by category

Every rule ships with a description, severity level, and example violation. Pro and Team plans can browse and enable rules from the full library.

Power Integrity

Checks decoupling capacitor placement, bypass capacitor values, bulk capacitance per power rail, and return path continuity across the design.

Net Connectivity

Detects undriven nets, floating pins, net-no-driver errors, and pin count mismatches between schematic symbols and footprint definitions.

BOM Consistency

Validates reference designators, catches duplicate part numbers, flags missing manufacturer codes, and checks component value conflicts across the BOM.

Component Footprint

Verifies pad counts match pin counts, checks for rotations that differ from library defaults, and flags package-level conflicts with the assembly constraints.

Clearance Rules

Evaluates copper-to-copper spacing, drill-to-trace margins, and board-edge clearances based on your fab house's manufacturing constraints.

Custom Team Rules

Team plan subscribers can author rules in CADY's predicate syntax, targeting company-specific component restrictions, preferred suppliers, or internal naming conventions.
